Estée Lauder Cos. Promotes Philippe Warnery, Julie Van Ongevalle

Philippe Warnery has been promoted to president of the U.K. and Ireland for the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc., the company's third-largest market.
He has been senior vice president and general manager of the region since 2017, and will continue to report to Cedric Prouvé, group president of international.
Warnery has been with the company for 13 years and, most recently, is credited with helping Lauder position itself to withstand the fallout from the geopolitical and economic volatility due to Brexit, including establishing new retailer relationships and fueling the growth of the online business.
"Philippe's entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic leadership are transforming the shopping experience for U.K. consumers through doubling-down on omnichannel experience, connecting e-commerce with freestanding stores, driving digital expansion and focusing on local relevance," Prouvé said.
Back in the U.S., Julie Van Ongevalle has been named global brand president, Origins. She has been senior vice president and general manager of the brand since 2016, and has "led the modernization of the brand's digital strategy to appeal to the next generation of consumers," according to the company. She will report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, group president of Lauder.
She joined Lauder in 2004, as marketing director of Clinique, and has also worked on MAC Cosmetics in both North America and the EMEA region.
"Julie's brand building expertise and deep understanding of consumers, channels and markets has led Origins to achieve accelerated growth," Hertzmark Hudis said.
